Hi I’m Willem! I’m a recently graduated student of Deakin University with a bachelor in Film, Television and Animation.
I first began editing for short films I had made in high school (2016-2021) and at Deakin University in my Film, Television and Animation course (2022-2025). Through TikTok I found a new way to express my love for film , television and music through posting edits. my favourite films are The Batman (2022) and Interstellar (2014). Over the course of high school and especially University I have become accustomed to software such as After Effects, Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, I have also had smaller experience with AVID ProMedia editing a documentary for a university project.
This year (2025) I completed a 3 month Internship with Content Hustlers based in West Melbourne, an independent production house focused on driving hard hitting visuals. From this opportunity I have gained valuable industry experiences and built a deeper network. More information on this experience below!
I have become extremely proficient with After Effects and Premiere Pro using AE for smaller projects such as TikTok edits, and PRP for larger projects such as music videos and short films.
In 2024 I worked on a third year University project titled “Lutto” a 9 minute short film of which we will be entering into film festivals, more information on this below!
On TikTok have gained over 10k followers and 2 million likes. I have consistently posted new and unique content that has helped bring my skills to another level.

My internship with Content Hustlers spanned from the 4th of March till the 29th of April (2025), I worked predominantly as a video editor for bts, however I also had the opportunity to film bts too. Below are some of the videos I created, handling bts for brands such as Connoisseur, Pancake Parlour, Hairhouse and GASP! Beauty.
I gained new technical skills working through video after video I applied myself as best I could trying out many different styles to ensure the content being produced would be engaging, however I also gained more importanty, industry level skills such as understanding company workflows and deliverables and networking with potential clients.
“LUTTO” 2024
Vincenzo, grief-stricken after his breakup with his girlfriend, Bianca, is haunted by a psychological phantom version of her as he struggles to face his guilt and seek redemption from his past self.

Vincenzo, a young man overwhelmed by grief and guilt following a painful breakup with his ex-girlfriend Bianca, struggles to come to terms with the emotional damage he has left behind. As he spirals deeper into despair and self-hatred, he is haunted by a psychological phantom version of Bianca, a manifestation of his unresolved guilt and regret. Though intense and often vulgar and painful encounters with both the real and construct Bianca, Vincenzo must confront his own failings and seek redemption, ultimately embarking on a journey towards closure and self-forgiveness.
My main role was the editor so the majority of my worked was done in post production, however I also had on set experience every day of the shoot as the script and continuity supervisor.
Throughout this project I was really able to showcase my talent both as an editor but also a dependable team member helping out where ever any issues arose. Truly an incredible group to work with and so grateful I got to be such an integral part of this production.

Creating this music video I acted as Director, Producer and Cinematographer along with the rest of my crew, however the editing and colour grade was solely done by me. This band creates awesome music and I was so glad I could help bring their content to another medium and help expand on their growing audience. Through TikTok I have found new ways of expressing my love for my favourite pieces of media, whether it’s editing trailers or creating a new vibe behind a character through editing specific moments I have loved every moment of it. Not only has it allowed me to progress my skills personally but also has allowed me to become part of a larger community sharing skills and methods with one another.
